About the Book

A cartoon-style green pickle with big eyes and a happy expression, holding three black balloons, with colorful squiggly lines in the background.

Meet Fickle Pickle.

A lovable little gherkin with big feelings and an even bigger need to be in control. When playtime doesn’t go as planned, Pickle is left frustrated, excluded, and unsure how to make things right. With gentle humor and heartfelt relatability, Fickle Pickle and the Friendship Flub invites young readers to navigate the tricky terrain of social play, while modeling empathy, flexibility, and the courage to try again. A charming, rhyming read-aloud for every child who’s ever had a big feeling in a small moment.

Group of five cartoon anthropomorphized microorganisms with smiling faces, large eyes, and stick-figure limbs, standing together on a white background.
A cartoon cactus and a small cactus with large eyes are wearing glasses and smiling; the larger cactus is wearing an orange shirt and the smaller one is touching its face, both appearing to think about a red toy train on a curved track with a smiling white mug.
